If you are traveling from Spain, France, or Portugal, no mandatory vaccinations are required to enter Cape Verde. A yellow fever vaccination certificate is only required if you have a layover of more than 12 hours in a country where this disease is endemic. Even so, it is a good idea to consult your international vaccination center before traveling, especially if you plan to go trekking in rural areas of Santo Antão.

To truly experience the essentials of both islands, we recommend at least 4-5 days: 1-2 days in São Vicente (Mindelo, its beaches and cultural atmosphere) and 3 days in Santo Antão to enjoy trekking and mountain scenery at your own pace. If your time is limited, we can also design shorter itineraries tailored to your priorities.

The official currency is the Cape Verdean escudo (CVE), with a fixed exchange rate of approximately 110 CVE per euro. In tourist areas and in most of our services, payment in euros is accepted without problem, although in small and local shops it is advisable to carry some money in escudos.
